Position Title: Web Developer/Web Designer

Summary: The Web Designer/Developerwill join our growing programming team to enhance MDA’s web-based weather data services. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining web applications. This position requires a highly-motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced, real-time, client-driven environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain and extend MDA’s client dashboard that serves as the platform for all MDA Weather web applications and products.
- Front-end web development of plugins for the dashboard.
- Provide mock-ups and prototypes of web services based on collaboration with project managers, back-end developers, and client feedback.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience developing complex data-driven web applications with HTML, JavaScript (including libraries such as jQuery), and CSS (tableless layouts).
- Extensive experience with object-oriented Design Patterns and the Java programming language.
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop CS and related graphic design tools.
- Demonstrated ability to display complex numerical and textual data in a simple, client-friendly format using common web constructs such as tables and graphs.
- Expert understanding of W3C standards as well as browser-specific bugs and variations, including IE, Firefox, and Chrome. Understanding of browser display differences on different platforms.
- Must be able to develop on a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl) platform.
- Ability to ingest, process, and disseminate various large numeric datasets.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet client-driven deadlines.
- Ability to function independently and work effectively within a small team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Position Title: Meteorological Applications Developer

Summary: The Meteorological Applications Developer supports product development activities for MDA’s weather services. The position is responsible for developing value-added weather products from a multitude of meteorological data sources. This position requires a highly-motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced, real-time, client-driven environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Write code to facilitate new product development and existing product maintenance.
- Work with large datasets including meteorological station reports, textual data products, radar, satellite, and gridded model data.
- Contribute creative solutions to enhance value and improve efficiency in products.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Perl.
- Experience creating database-driven applications (SQL, DBI).
- Experience programming on a Linux platform (RHEL).
- Ability to ingest, process, and disseminate various large numeric datasets.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet client-driven deadlines.
- Ability to function independently and work effectively within a small team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Must be able to provide code samples.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience programming in C, shell scripting, PHP, HTML and/or JavaScript.
- Understanding of functional and object-oriented programming.
- Ability to perform statistical analyses.
Education Requirements
- B.S. in computer science with coursework or experience in the physical sciences. Candidates with a physical science degree and demonstrated software development experience will be equally considered.
- U.S. Citizenship is required, along with eligibility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Position Title: Director, National Security Business Development

Summary: The Director, National Security Business Development will be responsible for generating business opportunities and sales within the national security domain. This position reports to the Vice President, Business Development and Government Relations and works directly with senior management at MDA Information Systems, Inc. (ISI).
Essential Job Functions
- Identify and pursue business opportunities in the national security sector
- Build key customer relationships
- Negotiate and close sales and business deals
- Work with VP of Business Development and Government Relations and management team to develop long term business development strategies
- Assist in development of National Security Business strategic plan
- Manage/Contribute to corporate sales funnel
- Track government business opportunities through public (eg FedBizOpps) and other means
- Manage or assist in proposal development
- Deliver presentations (oral or written)
- Assist in development of marketing plans
- Additional duties as assigned
- Proven business development success and revenue generation within the US national security market
- Knowledge of US Government business environment including policy, budget, contracting, and protocol
- Knowledge of geospatial technology, products and services
- Experience in the SIGINT AND IMINT communities
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts
- Ability to create, maintain and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills

Education and Experience
