Founded in 1999 by six of the leading companies in the industry, the Weather Risk Management Association (WRMA) is an international trade organization dedicated to promoting the weather industry. WRMA members represent all sides of the weather market including insurance and reinsurance providers, brokers, end users, data providers and exchanges. As part of its mission, WRMA initiates surveys of the industry, advocates the standardization of contracts and other documentation used for transactions and sponsors forums and conferences around the world for members to meet and discuss a range of topics such as international market developments, climate related science, data collection issues and tax and legal matters.
Since its inception, WRMA’s membership has grown from six to over 50 companies with headquarters in over 13 countries. WRMA continues to expand the reach and impact of the weather market into new regions and markets.
We invite you to join the growing network of weather market professionals.
